What we're building in Focus over the next four months.

How Focus ships

Continual deployment
Updates land every week.

Focus normaly deploys every Thursday. The vast majority of what goes out is small — a sharper filter, a faster page, a quieter notification, a label that finally makes sense. Almost all of it comes straight from customer feedback: a question in support, a winged remark on a Sales call, a thread in the shared Slack channels we run with our biggest accounts.

Larger items of big important updates will get full changes notes and customer notifications.

This page is for the larger pieces — things that change how Focus is shaped, take more than a sprint to land, or that we want customers to know about before they hit them. Each item below is something you'll feel.

Recording rules engine

15 Apr → 24 May 2026

6 weeks of planned work

Conditional capture Pause & resume Policy-driven
What it is

A proper conditional layer on top of recording. Rules combine signals such as call type, channel, participant count, who's on the call, time of day, customer attributes, etc. — and decide what to do. Record only meetings of more than five people. Stop recording the moment someone from ourside the organisation joins. The options are endless. Capture every call from a flagged customer for the next 30 days. Pause through a payment, resume after. The same engine drives starting, stopping, pausing, resuming, and retention.

Why it's a step change

"Record everything" is the wrong answer for most regulated industries — it creates storage problems and consent ones. "Record nothing automatically" is the wrong answer for compliance. Rules let you draw the line exactly where you want it, by role, by content, by context. Built directly into the Teams compliance bot and our SIP capture, so the same rule applies wherever the call lands.

Full Subphonic rebrand

28 Apr → 12 May 2026

Completed within 2 weeks

Brand Marks Type system
What it is

The full visual refresh — new wordmark, new brandmark, new colour, PolySans across the product, consistent treatment across Focus, Transact, and this website. Focus will get the full on V2.0 treatment.

Why it matters

As voice AI moved from experimental to essential infrastructure, the Aiphoria identity no longer reflected what we'd become. The rebrand to Subphonic draws on Chladni figures — the physical patterns formed when sound passes through a surface. The same frequency always creates the same pattern, and that's what we do: find structure inside millions of conversations. The new visual system carries that idea across every product surface.

Analysis Studio V1 rollout

1 May → 1 Jul 2026

8 weeks of planned work

AI analyses Visual builder No-code
What it is

A visual workspace for building, testing, and deploying custom AI analyses against your conversation data — no AI degree or prompt engineering required. Drag a trigger, define what good and bad look like, ship the analysis to production. Phased rollout: design tools first, then live testing on historical calls, then production deployment with versioning and rollback. All in your hands.

Why it's a step change

Custom analyses today need an engineer and a week. Studio gets that down to an afternoon for anyone with a goal of what they want to find — and lets them iterate on the analysis the same day they hear something on a call. Start finding that hidden data using your data.

Teams video capture

28 May → 18 Jun 2026

3 weeks of planned work

Microsoft Teams Compliance recording Multi-modal
What it is

The Microsoft-certified Teams compliance recording bot starts capturing the full video stream — speaker tiles, shared screens, presentations — alongside the existing stereo audio. Video is stored encrypted at rest, follows the same retention policy as audio, and plays back synchronised with the transcript in Focus.

Why it's a step change

Audio alone misses half the conversation. A demo with three customers, a shared spreadsheet, and four objections raised over slides is no longer a transcript guessing game. Compliance teams get the full record they're legally required to keep; QA gets the context they've been asking for.

Completed

Detect call forwarding

5 May → 7 May 2026

Completed within 2 days · released Thursday last week

Compliance Audit trail Capture integrity
What it is

Focus now detects when an incoming call has been forwarded from another extension before reaching the recorded party. The recording still happens — but the call timeline now flags clearly that the call was redirected, who it was originally for, and who actually picked up. Surfaces in the call detail panel, in transcript headers, in exports, and in the API.

Why it matters for compliance

A forwarded call breaks the implicit "who is on this recording" assumption that almost every compliance regime is built on. For FCA-regulated trade voice, the registered party is supposed to be the one taking the call — if it's been forwarded to a colleague who isn't authorised to advise on that product, you have a problem you need to see, not one you discover six months later in audit. Same story under MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and HIPAA's chain-of-custody requirements: knowing the actual speaker is the actual speaker is the point. Focus now makes "this was forwarded" a first-class fact in the record rather than something you'd have to reconstruct from telephony logs after the event.

Team Insights

22 Jun → 1 Aug 2026

Estimated timeline of 6 weeks · starts after Analysis Studio

Analytics Coaching Leaderboards
What it is

A team-level rollup of every analysis running in your tenant, aggregated by agent, squad, region, or any hierarchy you define. Trend lines, distribution charts, and outlier detection on the metrics you actually care about — compliance breach rate, complaint signal, talk-time ratio, sentiment by stage of call.

Why it's a step change

Focus already shows you the single call that went wrong. Team Insights shows you the pattern across every call with grounded examples and direct referances back to "The why". Built on Analysis Studio, so anything you build there flows through automatically — no second configuration step.

Up next

Matrix Statistical Analysis

1 Jul → 15 Aug 2026

Estimated timeline of 6 weeks · runs alongside Team Insights

Statistics Correlation Significance testing
What it is

A statistics layer on top of every analysis you run. Pivot any two dimensions — agent vs. compliance trigger, time of day vs. customer sentiment, campaign vs. close rate — and Focus tells you which combinations are statistically significant, which are noise, and what the effect size is. Proper p-values, confidence intervals, and chi-square / t-test selection done for you.

Why it's a step change

Most QA dashboards count things and stop there. Matrix tells you whether the difference between Region A and Region B is real or whether you're chasing a coin flip. The first conversational analytics tool a true stats-literate operations team will want to use.

Deep Microsoft WorkIQ integration

12 Aug → 12 Sep 2026

Estimated timeline of 4 weeks · starts in three months

Microsoft Productivity signals Bidirectional
What it is

A bidirectional link between Focus and Microsoft WorkIQ. Conversational signals — compliance breaches, customer-distress flags, escalation patterns — surface inside WorkIQ alongside meeting hours and focus time. WorkIQ's productivity context (calendar load, after-hours work, collaboration networks) flows back into Focus to weight analyses by team health.

Why it's a step change

Conversation data and productivity data have lived in separate silos for a decade. Connecting them means a head of sales can see "calls coached this week" next to "hours worked this week" and decide whether the team needs another standup or an early Friday. Built on Microsoft's certified compliance recording APIs — no scraping, no shadow IT.
